Dr. Ron Virmani, M.D. - HIKING AT YOSEMITE - Day 5

Day 5:  June 23: Thursday:  We took advantage of the free shuttle buses in the valley and rode to different points of interest, hiking when needed.  The mirror lake was true to its name, reflections of Tenaya canyon and Half Dome could be seen in tranquil waters.  We went to the gallery of Ansel Adams and ate at Degnan’s deli.  We hiked to the base of lower Yosemite falls and got wonderful views of the upper and lower Yosemite falls.  The entire cascade is a drop of 2425 feet and the tallest waterfall in North America.  The showers of mist again cooled us off on the hot day.  Hopping along the wet rocks was quite fun!  Teresa and Tom spent part of the day kayaking.  Monica and Lance joined them too.  Stories were heard about Tom’s valiant attempts to get back in the kayak from bone-chilling waters.  All in a day’s work! (or fun)
